The concept of band music has been around for centuries. The idea of specialist musicians coming together to deliver curated music pieces has always been intriguing the listeners. While several prominent music bands have taken the world by storm, the idea of fresh styles, content, and perspectives always sparks interest. In that context, the Russian band named ‘Next Door To Heaven’ has been creating quality music for quite some time now. The band specializes in playing progressive/alternative metal and its latest composition ‘Dance with me’ released earlier this year in March.
About ‘Next Door To Heaven’
Evgenii Mazunov and Daria Mazunova formed the band ‘Next Door To Heaven’ back in 2014 at St.Petersburg. While Evgenii plays music, guitar, bass guitar, and back vocals, Daria specializes in vocals and lyrics. The band released its debut album in March 2016. Just over a year later, it opened the concert of RED in St.Petersburg. The same year, ‘Next Door To Heaven’ released its next composition named ‘Exit Station’. All of these releases performed well and were widely appreciated by the audiences. Since then, the band has featured regularly in prominent radio stations across the USA, UL, and Canada.
Soon followed other successful releases in 2017 namely, ‘Out of the fire’ and ‘Starry Sky’. It came up with yet another hit single in 2018 named ‘Light’. Over the years, the band has constantly improved its quality of music, a reason why its popularity and success grew over time.
Last year, ‘Next Door To Heaven’ released its second album in collaboration with Sliptrick records. Since then, there has been no looking back with several gigs and concerts along with notable press appreciations.
“There is plenty of space for the music and the ‘Next’ does seem to bring in something a little more progressive, but they seem to flirt with it. The end result is really tight, so who cares what the tag is?” – “The Rocktologist”, 2019
“A new Next Door To Heaven’s album is a great fuel for all fans of solid progressive sound as impressive as Tesseract, After The Burial and Betraying The Martyrs have.” – “Bunker magazine”, 2019
When asked about their inspiration to create music, a band member commented, ‘Life itself always inspires us in many ways. So does nature, poetry and people.’
While the world is at a standstill amid the pandemic, ‘Next Door To Heaven’ is planning its future line with a lot of optimism and har work. It has already started to prepare for a new EP, named ‘Inside’ which will potentially feature Lord Nelson (ex-Stuck Mojo). At the same time, it also plans to execute a full-fledged tour once everything returns to normalcy.
